176 dwellings, retail stores and parkings - Toulouse

Located between the former “Halles de la Cartoucherie”, a covered market converted into a cultural complex, high-level residential operations and the public garden, lot 3.2 will house a diversified residential complex which follows 3 fundamental notions :

1.MAKING A CITY : settled in the territory, the project interacts with the context and its industrial past and helps to strengthen the identity of the place. Identified by its fragmented skyline, it links scales with 2 multi-unit buildings with soared-up volumetries up to R + 9, which shelter activities in the groundfloor and mark the street front along the Halles, and a sequence of apartments buildings and attached houses in R + 2 / R + 4, distributed by alleys within a tree-field shared space. Defining a raw and industrial aesthetic, the brick renews the memory of Toulouse known as the “Pink city”.

2.HOUSING : our willingness to bring all possible qualities to the dwellings is central and dictates the volumetries to be lived. It is about offering a maximum of luminosity, qualitative views, multiple orientations, and generous outdoor spaces. Atypical, the duplex and triplex are original lofts, suitable for families, with garden in the groundfloor or penthouse terrace; double or even triple heights magnify the interior spaces.

3.ECOLOGY : resulting from a bioclimatic design and exploiting a local resource with bricks, the operation is sustainable and respectful of the environment.
